Rayon is the nom-de-plume used by Portland musician, Eric Sabatino. Eric spent years playing with bands in Southern Michigan and Portland Oregon, sometimes playing in as many as six bands at once. These days fully focused on his own music, Rayon comes from years of experience writing, collaborating, working in studios, and touring with some of the pacific northwest’s hardest working bands. Self-Described as “A guy who grew up on 80’s/90’s post punk and grunge trying to reconcile their love of The Kinks and 60’s British Pop” The band features members of Sun Atoms, Yuvees, Pastilla, and Martha Stax. Partnered with Little Cloud Records, Rayon released the LP, Colour in 2022. A series of 7” records are being released, starting with 2025’s Shopping/Running. Parking/Walking will be out in fall 2026.
