Laughing About Nothing is a Portland, Oregon–based punk / power pop band known for their explosive live performances, hook-driven songwriting. Founded by Andy Hernandez (guitar) and Margaret Hitch (vocals) after meeting in Spain in 2021, the band found its full identity after relocating to Portland in 2024, where Colby (bass) and Cole (drums) completed the lineup. Following the release of their debut album, T I D E S, in April 2026, Laughing About Nothing quickly became one of the Pacific Northwest’s most exciting emerging acts. Their single “Icy Streets” was also featured during a Portland Trail Blazers NBA game broadcast, introducing the band to thousands of fans and marking another milestone in their growing career.
